For over 40 years, Oregon Family Council has worked towards encouraging and equipping the Christian community to take an active role in society through the elections and legislative process. Since 1980 OFC has published the Christian Voter’s Guide, a non-partisan voting resource distributed free of charge statewide for both major elections and ballot measures. We are also an active voice in the Oregon State Legislature and provide important information and resources for Oregon’s pastors and Faith community.
In 2004, we founded the Defense of Marriage Coalition, a bi-partisan organization of concerned pastors, elected officials, community leaders and citizens, united together to preserve marriage through the passing of Measure 36 defining marriage in the Oregon Constitution as only between one man and one woman.
Oregon Family Council, Inc. is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-affiliated organization and is governed by a local board of directors. Oregon Family Council is structured into three distinct branches: The Education Foundation, Association, and Political Action Committee. Each of these organizations has distinct roles in the efforts to promote and preserve family values in the state of Oregon.
